Grownup Manx shearwaters have darkish brown or black higher components and white underparts, with a broad, darker, trailing edge on the underwing and a slim, darkish forefront. There’s a darkish patch on the thigh.

The pinnacle is darkish with a white chin and a white patch behind the ear coverts. The invoice is darkish gray with a pale base, the eyes are black, and the legs and webbed ft are pink with black toes.

Women and men look alike, whereas in worn plumage they’re duller brown.

The juvenile is just like the grownup.
