A quiet week with out runners as we determined to not take Picanha to Sandown in the present day however give him an away day for a bit of labor, with the hope of going to Newbury on 10th February over his most well-liked three miles.  He has proven us loads of potential up to now having gained a bumper and two hurdles and we look ahead to his come again.

We’ve got City Champion entered at Wolverhampton on Monday and hopefully the drop again in journey will assist him settle higher with Kieran Shoemark set to experience.  We even have entries on Tuesday for Totterdown and Lizzie Rey at Chepstow.

Yesterday I attended Sylvia Bosley’s funeral in Uffington close to Lambourn.  ‘Mrs B’ as she was identified to me and lots of others, was a beautiful one who was beloved and admired by many.

I used to be fortunate sufficient together with others together with Michael Caulfield, to have been a lodger at Decrease Haddon Farm close to Bampton while a pupil at Witney faculty some 4 a long time in the past.  On the time Sylvia’s husband John together with the assistance of their son Martin, skilled many a very good horse together with Corn Avenue, Pewsey Avenue and offspring of their high quality Grand Nationwide mare, Eye Catcher.

To be a part of the Bosley household was a particular privilege and her exacting requirements, work ethic, hospitality and heat coronary heart improved the lives of all that got here into her world.  I, together with M Caulfield had been privileged to be requested by the Bosley household to reminisce concerning the joyful reminiscences we had while residing with John and Sylvia and the good instances since.  I wrote a poem for the event which hopefully coated the humour and high quality of these particular instances.

The church was packed as her kids, grandchildren and nice grandchildren paid tribute to a really particular woman whose legacy will undoubtedly reside on.
